The tough features of Olympus 1030 SW are waterproof to 10m, Snowproof to -10°c, Shockproof to 2.0m and Crushproof to 100kg. Other features include Nightproof Technology, Shakeproof Anti Blur Mode, In-Built Panorama, Movie mode with sound, Face Detection and Shadow Adjust and Underwater movie mode.

It is shockproof so it's ideal for those who easily drop things or for kids to handle without being worried. Also ideal for traveling as it's also crushproof and ideal for the snow. The Olympus MJU 1030SW is a very robust camera which now comes with a 28mm wide angle lens which will take great landscape or group photo shots. The Olympus MJU 1030SW is one of the only cameras on the market which can handle the extreme conditions without an underwater housing. However, to take your photography further, you can buy an additional underwater housing to take the camera up to 40m deep.
Waterproof up to 10M or 3M depending on the model. It means you can take it underwater directly without a housing. It also has HyperCrystal LCD screens and a Macro LED light, so you can see more clarity when you're shooting underwater. It has O-ring tight seal, sealing protection, robust material and on screen water pressure gauge (only for the Olympus MJU 1030SW).
All Olympus digital cameras that are shockproof are tested to military standards. Depending on the model it is shockproof from 1.5M to 2M. It is strong, robust construction and floating electric board stops shock from reaching the circuitry. There are special shock absorbers to protect the lens.
Crushproof up to 100kgs. The digital camera and the LCD screen has been tested to withstand up to 100kgs. The camera disperses load pressure to protect electronics. Ideal for pocket storage or weight of the load in your luggage.
This camera is snowproof and is tested to -10 degrees Celsius. The body, electronics, the mechanics of the camera are built to survive and operate in these conditions. Perfect for winter photography.
Nightproof technology provides bright and vibrant colours at night, with or without flash and brightens the LCD so you can frame shots even in low light.
The Shakeproof Anti Blur mode increases the camera's light sensitivity, allowing for a faster shutter speed at a given light level, to reduce blur from hand shake and subject movement.
Editproof technology allows you to fix your shots at the touch of a button, saving the new images as they are created. With three options to choose from: Perfect Fix Red Eye, Perfect Fix Lighting and Perfect Fix Shake.
Olympus Face detection and Shadow Adjust technology corrects the auto focus and exposure in the foreground and background to give you the balanced image that your eyes sees. With face detection activated, press the Shadow Adjust button, the camera detects the face shapes and adjusts shadows to correct the image. |
