Pentax Optio A40 digital camera features with 12 mega pixels CCD sensor, 3X Optical Pentax Zoom Lens and 2.5 inch high resolution LCD screen. Other features such as 3 shake reduction functions (CCD sensor shifting shake reduction mechanism, digital shake reduction & Movie mode shake reduction) and face recognition AF & AE. The most important new feature introduced in Pentax Optio A40 is the "dynamic range adjustment" function which can reduce white outs and black outs photos. Therefore, by taking advantage of the dynamic range adjustment, it is possible to get bright subject while taking photos against the sun. The main selling features of Pentax Optio A40 are 12MP, face-recognition with backlight compensation function, shake reduction to minimise camera shake and subject shake and the auto-tracking AF function.
