The Fujifilm S6500fd is a 6 mega pixel, 10.7x optical zoom with a large 2.5" LCD screen. Fujifilm S6500fd has many smart features such as face detection and smart flash. According to our test, the "face detection" can even detect human faces shown on TV no matter male, female adults, babies and children. Sometimes S6500fd can be fooled by human face looking dolls. This face detection feature is also used in Robot technology which could be predicted "A.I." will be widely used in the competitive digital camera products shortly.
In order to see the zooming capability, we compare the sample images taken by Fujifilm S6500fd with Canon EOS 400D Digital SLR 18-50mm Lens and 75-300mm Lens.
Program mode zooming capability test (28mm-300mm):
Fujifilm S6500fd setting: Program mode, ISO 200, auto white balance, auto flash, 6M super fine quality and tripod is not used.

Surprisingly, Fujifilm Finepix S6500fd generates great day shot images by using its 10.7X optical zoom with digital zoom turn on which equals to 300mm Lens approximately. Fujifilm S6500fd is an economical and very easy to use fixed lens digital SLR with manual zooming and manual focus 28-300mm Fujinon Lens. Another surprise to me, with this 28-300mm lens, S6500fd can take photos close up to 1cm to the subject in its super Macro mode. It seems S6500fd combines macro, 28mm wide and 300mm tele Lenses into one fixed lens.
