Canon Powershot A710is is a 7.1 mega pixel, 6x optical zoom digital, image stabilizer and movie with sound. According to author's testing, the 6X optical zoom and image stabilizer help a lot when chasing the peacock in the Japanese garden (see sample images). Usually users will get blurry images easily for moving subjects such as animals when using maximum zoom. However, Canon A710is image stabiliser reduces blurry photos in low light and with maximum optical zoom from my test.

Camera setting: Program mode, spot focus, auto white balance, automatic flash, 7.1M super fine quality, image stabilizer activated for shot only and tripod is not used. Synage 150X SD 2GB card is used.
